On 16th of October 2025, Simone Trimmel was awarded one of the “Förderungspreise für Chemie” (“promotion award for chemistry”) of the Austrian Chemical Society (Österreichische Chemische Gesellschaft, GÖCH) for her PhD thesis carried out within TecEUS, entitled “Analysis of technology-critical elements in environmental samples based on inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry”. The award was presented during the Festversammlung following the GÖCH’s general assembly at the University of Vienna, where a small delegation from MUL celebrated with her.
